He is a Socio-economist Expert with an Advanced Master of Science in Governance and Development and a Bachelor of Arts, Economics and Sociology. Wario has accomplished experience in drylands, rural development, and livestock expertise, with extensive international experience of over nine (9) years of hands-on experience in designing field projects and managing and monitoring development programmes. Major strengths include program development, technical backstopping and portfolio management for global natural resource and livestock programmes, transdisciplinary research, dryland management and African pastoralism.
He has over 15 years of cumulative work experience in humanitarian emergency and developments programme design, planning, implementation, monitoring and evaluation in Kenya and is well versed with field project in Arid and Semi-Arid lands in Kenya courtesy of Water service Trust fund, Concern Worldwide and Kenya Red Cross Society.
Skilled in project designs, technical support throughout the project cycle (operational), knowledge management, and environmental and socio-economic risks assessment. Recognized for developing highly effective partnerships with diverse stakeholders to establish and implement rural development initiatives, supported development programs.
Experienced working globally across Horn of Africa and West Africa. Excellent communication and client relationship skills and ability to work effectively in multicultural environment at all levels of the organization. Fluent in English, Kiswahili and Borana.
