Position: Lead Consultant, Environmental & Public Health Expert

Gobu W. Gufu is the firm’s Executive Director. He is a graduate of the University of Leeds having attained a Master of Public Health specialized in International Heath.  Mr. Gufu also holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Environmental Health from Kenya University and He is a Certified Result Based Monitoring and Evaluation Practitioner having attained a one Month Certificate course from AMREF International University. He is a practicing NEMA registered and licensed Environmental Impact Assessment and Audit Lead Expert. Gufu holds a six weeks Certificate in Strategic Leadership and Development (SLDP) and a 4 weeks Senior Management Course (SMC), both from Kenya School of Government.

He has over 15 years of cumulative work experience in humanitarian emergency and developments programme design, planning, implementation, monitoring and evaluation in Kenya and is well versed with field project in Arid and Semi-Arid lands in Kenya courtesy of Water service Trust fund, Concern Worldwide and Kenya Red Cross Society.

Mr. Gufu has extensive consulting experience of designing and handling environmental programs, including carried out environmental impact assessment and audits for Strategies for Northern Development, Mercy Corps –Somalia, International Medical Corps (IMC)-Somalia, Gottu Farm Water Project (Private Developers), County Department of Health, Marsabit County, National and Drought Management Authority (NDMA), among many others. He has also conducted research consultancy projects at Kenya School of Government including: supervision of Senior Management Course research Projects; training needs assessment surveys; Universal Health Coverage pilot project impact assessment in four counties; involved in corruption risk assessment consultancy for KIPPRA, Intellectual property right assessment consultancy for KIPPI, among many others.

Gobu provided Technical assistance to NIRA’s Odda water and Abattoir Project ESIA terms of references and related safeguards reviews. He is currently conducting a strategic plan development for Pastoralist Women for Health and Education (NGO) in Isiolo, on behalf of Elite EVALCore Consultant limited.

Stephen is a Strategic Planning, Management, Leadership, Policy, Advocacy, Monitoring, Evaluation, Quality, Accountability, Informatics and capacity building expert with over 15 years of experience in strategy development, program management, quality assurance, research, and learning. Stephen hold an MSc in Biometry from University of Nairobi and currently pursuing a PhD in Biostatistics at Moi University. Stephen has over 15 years of work experience in private and public sectors including KEMRI, LVCT Health, IntraHealth International, Amref Health Africa, Kenya Ministry of Health, Kenya Defense Forces, JKUAT, Catholic University, Machakos University, Technical University of Kenya, Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture and Technology, Kenya Commercial Bank, Care International, International Rescue Committee among others where he supported in development of projects systems and frameworks.

He is a seasoned program management specialist with extensive experience across sectors such as public health, education, livelihoods, empowerment, poverty alleviation, humanitarian action, and governance. Stephen have technical expertise in program design, implementation, monitoring, evaluation, analysis, learning, adaptation and systems thinking. He is a committed humanitarian and development expert, motivated to alleviate suffering that provides hope, improve lives and livelihoods, through innovation, dedication and hard work. Stephen is a self-driven, result oriented, and highly sensitive to multicultural team environments. He demonstrated excellent professional approach to collaboration, and networking approaches in all programmes systems and applications. He has excellent analytical and problem solving skills including high affinity for adopting to change.

Wario Malicha Roba

Position: Social-Economist Expert Consultant

He is a Socio-economist Expert with an Advanced Master of Science in Governance and Development and a Bachelor of Arts, Economics and Sociology. Wario has accomplished experience in drylands, rural development, and livestock expertise, with extensive international experience of over nine (9) years of hands-on experience in designing field projects and managing and monitoring development programmes. Major strengths include program development, technical backstopping and portfolio management for global natural resource and livestock programmes, transdisciplinary research, dryland management and African pastoralism.

He has over 15 years of cumulative work experience in humanitarian emergency and developments programme design, planning, implementation, monitoring and evaluation in Kenya and is well versed with field project in Arid and Semi-Arid lands in Kenya courtesy of Water service Trust fund, Concern Worldwide and Kenya Red Cross Society.

Skilled in project designs, technical support throughout the project cycle (operational), knowledge management, and environmental and socio-economic risks assessment. Experienced working globally across Horn of Africa and West Africa. Excellent communication and client relationship skills and ability to work effectively in multicultural environment at all levels of the organization. Fluent in English, Kiswahili and Borana.
